The Fall River Public Library offers services in two library locations. The Main Library, located at 104 North Main Street, was founded in 1861 and began operations at the North Main Street location in 1899.
The South Branch, located at 58 Arch Street, was founded in 1966 and moved to its new location in a larger, more accessible building in 2014. It is a smaller neighborhood library with popular materials and programs for children, teens, and adults. The Main Library is recommended for people needing in-depth research, reference assistance and a broader range of materials.
